crabby??

Last night I watched multiple movie with my dad including: Talladega Nights, Shutter Island, and Blair Witch. Hehe we're horror movie buddies. I went to sleep at 3 am. Iwas awakened by Chelsea Dagger (courtesy of Dad). I put on my bathing suit and headed to the car.
I WAS GOING TO RAGING WAVES!!!
(map pic)
I went on the Crocodile Mile 3 times, the blue of the three sisters once, the green of the three sisters 2 times, the pink of the three sisters once, the cyclone 2 times, and the platypus plunge 3 times. I also enjoyed the lazy river and wave pool. Oh, and did I mention my awesome dad also rented a cabana? It was tons of fun.
Maybe it was the late night, maybe it was the early morning, or maybe it was the running around a water park all day. No, I think it's a mix of all of them, I don't know. But what I do know is as soon as my butt hit the seat of the car I was asleep. Next thing I knew I was back at home.
Then I got a yummy dinner. Actually yummy is an understatement it was delicious perfection. Mmm King crab legs, steak filets, green beans, and a baked potato. Yes, thats a lot of food but it was goooood!!
Now dad wants another movie nigh† with the kids (me and my brother).

Back home

Well, my trip to the great northwoods has come to an end. We leave for home tomorrow. Today was a quiet, uneventful day. Ahh the relaxation. Peace and loon calls hehe. After hanging out around the cabin my family and I rounded up and went out to the Tiki Bar for some Euchre! So fun! Then we went out to eat and came home for a peaceful rest of the night. Right at this very second I am watching Degrassi- and typing this.

btw- I would add pics but the computer won't let me :-(

SPLASH!!

Today started off with a tasty bowl of cereal. Then my family and I got ready for a boat trip to the Stone Lake Beach. And the pontoon was not working so our hopes of sand were demolished :( . Instead we swan a little, fished a little, and then the real fun began. It started with fishing for bass with minnows and soon became a game.
I set out 2 fish traps and coaxed fish into them using a fishing pole with a worm. I caught 3 fish: Jimmy, Drake, and Survivor. When I went to get a minnow I noticed two were dead so I took one dead one and and a live worm and tried to get the minnow to eat the worm. When I thought it was working I was
disappointed to see the worm going through the minnows mouth and out its gill. Now most people would say yuck among other things but this stuff just doesn't do that to me so I took the 2 dead minnows and decided to mummify then by pouring on salt and wrapping them in layers and layers of paper towels. After that I was all fished out. And showered making my hair smell like violets this time. I also had a new pretty dress to put on.
Tonight on the menu its... drum roll please... *drum drum drum*... chicken, potatoes, and bread rolls! My parents invited our awesome Wisconsin neighbors Lori, Chuck, Cathy, and Tom. Also just minutes before dinner time my *halfish big brother Chris wandered over.
After dinner Chris surprised all of us by setting off one of his many mini bomb things. A great deal of excitement and commotion over that. He was showing me and my brother how to make a pop can jump 50 feet in the air when we saw water guns. back at our dock while filling our beloved new toys my brother and I jumped out of our skin due to a bomb that Chris made explode in the water. So to get back and him we spray him with our water guns and apparently he didn't like it when i talk smack (clean of course) so Chris picked me up, threw me over his shoulder, and proceeded to the dock to throw me in the lake against my will.
I wasn't thrown in the lake. I was simply dropped of at the end of the dock. But I didn't stop there. kicking off my flip flops I yelled "Ha! I knew you wouldn't throw me in!" I had a plan. Chris, who can't bear to be loser, came jogging at me ready to fling me in when right before I was in reach i spun around and jumped right into the lake. Cannan ball! In my new dress! Into the lake! I won, he lost! I am now going to keep score.
The fun day ended with music by the camp fire then getting comfy on the couch typing this.

  • fishy- noun- cooler way of saying fish
  • Knockers- noun- an amazing restaurant that serves PIZZA!!
  • btw- I have no idea- by the way in text mode

Pizza, Pajamas, and a dip in the lake

Today I was lucky enough to ride in the car... for... six... hours. I know a car ride that long sounds somewhat awful (my blog title is talking about horseback riding not car rides) it's much easier if you keep the destination in mind. Paradise. If you have read my moms blog, Genuinely Speaking, you would probably know that I'm talking about our little cabin nestled in Sugar Camp, Wisconsin.
As soon as we arrived my first thought is "when can we swim?"... actually it was more like "YES! No more of dads rock music!". After begging my brother to swim getting a "No, no, no, no, no, NO!!" I decided to take a dip in the lake- *solo style. The lake is ICE COLD!! But you know me (or not. Nope? Hi I'm Kahley. Well now you do.)I'm a die hard swimmer, kinda, so I continue down the four step latter into some real cold water. Brrr. I swam out. I swam back in. I haven't been exaggerating, it's chilly.
Lately my Moms thing is photography. She takes pics EVERYWHERE! And shes good at it too. So when my lil bro catches his first of the year, my mom nearly killed the poor *fishy keeping it from water for a photo shoot. Once the fishy was safely back in Echo lake I went to wash the lake out of my hair (which *btw smells like coconuts. Yum!). Once I was back at the dock all clean and in PJs and smelling like coconuts 8-) it was brought to my attention that we were going to *Knockers. So we did and I was in my pajamas.
Weeelll dad is telling my "time for bed" so I'll explain the stars and ect tomorrow.
keep on riding along,
chippykac
